Can Dogs Eat Apples?

One apple a day keeps the doctor away. Most of the people love apples which are rich in vitamins and fiber. But can dogs eat apples? Yes, dogs can eat apples.

But be warned, dogs should not eat apple cores and seeds that contain cyanide can cause digestive problems and more serious problems. Although apple seeds just are obviously in much smaller doses, but it is absolutely possible to eat enough to die.

You need to do some things with apples before feeding your dogs. First, you should wash apples carefully. Be sure there isn’t the result of chemical fertilizer and pesticide in the apple skin. Then you should remove the cores and cut apples into small pieces. Keeping the apple skin which rich in flavonoids, antioxidant that help prevent heart disease is better.

Apples are just treats and not daily dog food, it means one apple for dogs is enough. Too much intake can be bad for absorbing nutrients, resulting in indigestion.

In conclusion, dogs can eat apples, but needs to be eaten in moderation.
